This Speed Triple 1200 RS bike weighs 198 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 15.5 liters.

Triumph Motorcycles India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the 2022 Speed Triple 1200 RS in the country. The latest iteration of the motorcycle gets a new paint theme, Baja Orange. The new paint theme is complemented by Silver Ice and Graphite ‘RS’ graphics on the fuel tank. Apart from the new colour, the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is available in Matte Silver Ice and Sapphire Black paint themes.

The changes are limited to the addition of the new paint theme. The design, on the other hand, remains unchanged. Thus, the 2022 iteration retains the aggressive streetfighter design that comprises a twin-pod headlight with eyebrow-style DRL at the front, muscular fuel tank, body-coloured engine cowl, rear cowl, single-sided swingarm, and side-slung exhaust.

The mechanical specifications retain the 1,160cc, inline-three cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to deliver 177bhp and 125Nm of peak torque. Other hardware on the motorcycle comprises upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, twin discs at the front, a single rotor at the back, Brembo-sourced calipers, and 17-inch wheels on both ends. The feature list comprises full-LED lighting, a five-inch TFT instrument cluster, cornering ABS, switchable traction control system, five riding modes, wheelie control, cruise control system, quick shifter, and slipper clutch.

The Triumph Speed Triple RS rivals the likes of BMW R NineT Scrambler, Ducati Streetfighter V4, Harley-Davidson Sportster S, and Kawasaki Z H2 in the Indian market.
